Vijay Pulijal, PE
Senior Project Manager / Program + Construction Management

Bio
Vijay attributes his long track record of successful projects to the people around him, the dedicated members of his teams. His colleagues, however, would say Vijay's leadership skills and passion for innovation make the real difference.
In his illustrious career, Vijay has analyzed over 60 asset management projects and led over 80 pavement management programs. His projects have included pavement condition surveying, sign inspections, legends and markings surveying, sewer tapes review and condition assessments, budget analysis for maintenance and operations of asphalt pavement structures, and report generation.
His attention to detail and quality control come through in every aspect of every project, with a determination to continually improve. During Vijay's 13 years as Harris' Pavement Management group leader, he has never missed a single deadline.
Before joining Harris, Vijay worked for the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, where he helped develop their StreetSaver® pavement management software. Now he’s one of their preferred consultants, earning the title of MTC "Power User." He sets up the program for clients and trains staff to use it effectively so they can succeed without him.
Civil engineering runs in Vijay's blood. His father, brother and even his wife are all civil engineers. Meanwhile, the leadership skills that fuel Vijay's career success helped propel his professional cricket team to its first championship under his captaincy in 2017.
Why Harris?
Harris provides me with the opportunity to be creative, meet new people, work on projects, and to continually stretch myself. It’s all about the people that you work beside. They are practically my family. I have an amazing work culture and a desirable work environment.
