Following receiving Top Workplace honors in San Diego, Harris & Associates recently received a Top Workplaces honor from The Bay Area News Group. The 2019 list of organizations is based solely on employee survey feedback gathered by research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools.
“As an employee-owned company, our culture of shared achievement is what makes Harris strong,” said Lisa Larrabee, CEO of Harris. “It means we really are all working for each other’s professional and personal success every day.”
The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few. Only 85 companies made this year’s list.
“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”
Over the years, Harris has worked to build quality teams in four ways: leading by example, working smarter together, building stronger communities, and investing in its people. These shared values have facilitated a collaborative environment where everyone is driven by the desire to make a difference in the Bay Area.
“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” Claffey said. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”
