Moraga’s Canyon Road Bridge Reopens!

Moraga, CA –

On November 22, 2017 the Town of Moraga held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the reopening of the Canyon Road Bridge which had closed in April due to critical structural issues resulting from landslide movement.

Harris’ Director of Program + Construction Management Brandon Hays, PE who served as construction manager on the temporary bridge project explains, "this project was a primary example of the success you can have with everyone working as a team, from the Town, to the designers, and contractors." The new, temporary Canyon Road Bridge was opened ahead of its original schedule.

Harris & Associates provided emergency repair construction management and inspection services in the construction of a new one-lane, 150-foot long, temporary bridge that brings vehicle and pedestrian access back to one of the Town’s five entry points.
