Bio
Anastacia brings more than 25 years of experience in housing, community development, and environmental services. She has worked across city, county, and state government, giving her a comprehensive understanding of how public policy, funding requirements, and community priorities come together to support successful local programs.
Throughout her career, Anastacia has helped communities expand access to essential resources and improve quality of life. Her experience includes securing $3 million in funding and land for a wastewater collection system and treatment plant in Hayden, Arizona, and more than $6 million in funding and land for a 100-bed homeless shelter in Salinas, California. She also secured grant funding for on-site pet kennels through the California Department of Housing and Community Development’s Pet Assistance and Support Program.
Over the past decade, Anastacia has developed deep expertise in homeless systems and programs. She works across agencies, funding sources, and stakeholder groups to help communities navigate complex requirements and advance practical, people-centered solutions.
Anastacia brings a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach to her work. She understands both the policy environment and the realities of implementation, allowing her to balance compliance, funding constraints, and community needs while keeping programs moving forward.
Outside of work, Anastacia is deeply committed to her family, community, and lifelong passion for animals. She coaches water polo and is a swimmer and enjoys cheering on her twins at their baseball, field hockey, and swimming competitions.
She is also a dedicated advocate for parrot conservation and animal welfare. Anastacia has cared for two sun conures for more than two decades, is a lifetime member of the World Parrot Trust, and shares her home with a beloved Pomeranian.
