Harris Welcomes Alex Yescas as Director of Engineering Services
Alex will specialize in water resources, assisting clients with his expertise in floodplain and stormwater management. He has directed dozens of flood control capital improvement projects throughout California and Nevada. Over the past 12 years, Alex has performed detailed analyses on more than 1,000 stream miles and over 10,000 approximate stream miles in California alone.

Prior to joining Harris, Alex served as a project manager for the California Department of Water Resources FloodSAFE programs and implemented the Flood Risk Notification Program, a legislative mandate under California Water Code 9121. He also served as the project manager for the California Best Available Floodplain Maps consisting of detailed set of floodplains for all 58 counties in the state.
Alex is on the board of directors of the Floodplain Management Association as the Southern Director. In addition, Alex serves on the Industry Advisory Board of the MESA Program, which helps disadvantaged students attain four-year degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics disciplines. He is also a member of ASCE, ISI and SHPE organizations.
Alex graduated with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University.
