Beyond Design and Construction - Student and Community Involvement in the Building Program

Panel led by Allyson Gipson, Esq., Assoc. AIA

Large building programs provide modernized and new facilities to support the educational environment. The best building programs also provide learning opportunities for students interested in careers impacted by STEM education, particularly engineering and architecture, as well as construction trades and support services. Further, construction dollars represent opportunities for local contractors and community groups to participate in the improvements at the campuses. This workshop will discuss ideas for bringing students and the community into the building program in meaningful and impactful ways.
