Harris & Associates is honored to welcome Kristin Blackson, Senior CEQA Project Manager, to its San Diego office. Kristin’s 20 years of experience includes preparation and management of CEQA and NEPA documents, project management, land use planning, and project entitlement in both public and private sectors.
For 15 years, Kristin served as the Environmental Planning Manager for the County of San Diego’s Planning Department, coordinating efforts of multi-disciplinary staff and ensuring CEQA compliance on behalf of several county departments. She has successfully led master planned communities, wind and solar projects, programs and ordinances, specific plans, major and minor use permits, and subdivision maps.
“We’re thrilled to have Kristin join our Environmental Planning team with her expertise in CEQA and project management,” said Diane Sandman, AICP, Senior Director of Harris’ Environmental Planning + Compliance practice. “Her depth of knowledge and enthusiasm for helping agencies with compliance will make her a great asset to our clients.”
As a complement to her consulting, Kristin is a professor for the UCSD Extension CEQA Certificate Program and is co-chair of the Association of Environmental Professionals Legislative Committee. She and her fellow committee members have successfully influenced CEQA policy for practitioners throughout California.
“Kristin’s combined roles as consultant, teacher, and change-maker uniquely position her to stay ahead of CEQA developments and ensure that our clients have the very latest information,” Diane said.
