Harris & Associates to be Named CM Firm of the Year by the San Diego Chapter of CMAA
Harris is proud to announce that it will receive the honorable distinction of 2017 Construction Management (CM) Firm of the Year by the San Diego Chapter of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) at the chapter’s annual awards banquet on Wednesday, May 3rd in San Diego, CA.
The San Diego Chapter’s CM Firm of the Year Award recognizes a member who has gone above and beyond in its support of the Chapter by encouraging employee participation in Chapter programs, activities and committees.
Over the past three years, Harris has increased its investment in the Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification programs for Harris personnel and advocated for local agency membership and staff certification within the San Diego region. Harris’ Senior Director of Construction Management and CMAA San Diego Board Member, Joe Webber, CCM, DBIA, LEED AP explains, “Harris is passionate about bringing CMAA’s construction management principles and best practices to bear on owners’ projects—owners like the San Diego Unified School District, the City and County of San Diego, the Unified Port of San Diego and other public agencies throughout the San Diego region.”
In 2016, Harris also received two prestigious project awards for its work in the San Diego area—a CMAA San Diego Project Achievement Award for the County of San Diego's Cedar & Kettner Development Project Parking Structure and a National 2016 CMAA Project Achievement Award in the category of "Infrastructure: Constructed value less than $25 Million" for the Padre Dam Municipal Water District Maintenance and Operations Yard Improvements Project in Santee, CA.
