    Concord, CA -

Thursday May 9, 2013 was Bike to Work Day throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. For the past 20 years, Bike to Work Day has encouraged people to give bicycle commuting a try through public outreach, events, and “energizer stations” placed along major bike routes so that bikers can rest, have a snack, and pick up some free gear.

This year set a record with 14,000 riders in the East Bay alone! Vern Phillips, Russ Moore, and Kyle Carbert biked all the way from the Oakland/Berkeley area over the hills to the Concord office, a one-way trip of more than 20 miles. Awaiting our intrepid riders at the office were Jamba Juice Smoothies and goodies to help restore all the calories burned. After work, a couple of our riders still had enough energy to bike all the way home!

Biking to work is a great way to get some exercise, decrease your carbon footprint, enjoy the outdoors, and to avoid the stress of automobile traffic.
