Joe has an uncanny knack for navigating complex projects. His construction management acumen shines through in the development and improvement of commercial and mixed-use buildings, schools, gymnasiums, central plants and scientific laboratories—which he often helps complete ahead of schedule and under budget.
Joe's 20-plus years of experience, more than six at Harris, includes project schedule and budget management, quality control, close-out and assuring contract compliance with local public works and statutory regulations.
A vital member of the Harris team, Joe routinely develops and interprets plans, specifications contractual requirements, constructability, scope of work and basis of design—all according to project timelines and client objectives.
In addition to his technical expertise, Joe never loses sight of the people who benefit from his projects. Just ask him about the braille map he set up to help students at the Los Angeles Braille Institute during his work at the 46-acre Los Angeles Community College District site-development project. Or his outreach to the campus via the student newspaper to keep everyone apprised of progress.
Joe's hobbies may help to explain his ability to chart a fast course to a successful finish. He enjoys competition sailing and yachting, continually honing his skills in his professional and personal life.
